

Zombies and more of a comical journey, complete with a troupe of zombie tour guides. This layout really lends itself to the book, so that it is less of a walk through of the world of Plants vs. The personality of the zombies is priceless fun. The incredible amount of time and thought that went into creating the game is absolutely amazing to see compiled into one book.Įvery page of this book is filled with not only art and facts about game development, but hilarious comments from the zombies with their classic manner of speech and wrought with misspellings (‘cause zombies can’t spell!), making this so much more than just an art book.

Some of the art is done in full color, while some is in sepia or black and white, even basic sketches. Even good old Crazy Dave makes an appearance, much to the chagrin of the zombies. There are plenty of concepts to keep the reader busy, from zombies and plants all the way to game and level design. The art is colorful and lively, with wonderful drawings that leap off the page, just as they do in the video game. There are also rejected titles – my favorite of which is Bloom & Doom – rejected cover art, and 88 pages of gorgeous artwork that any fan will truly appreciate.
